COVID-19

Our response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Dear KALM Clients:

We are committed to the health, happiness and well-being of our clients, our staff, and our community given our sudden and jarring introduction to COVID-19 these past few months.

KALM Therapy Group is committed to continuing to serve our clients during this time. Our office is following CDC recommendations for cleanings, as well as following the recommended precautions regarding coming to work. We practice social distancing during therapy and in common areas of our facility. You may notice some changes as you walk through our doors, but our care and commitment to your mental well-being remain unshaken. We have shifted how we practice in order to continue to be able to serve you at this time.

Our office has implemented the use of telehealth as an additional option to access services and most payors are covering telehealth services at 100% during the pandemic and we hope to see this trend continues thru the summer months. Telehealth allows providers and clients to meet through a secure video conferencing software. If this is of interest to you, please contact us.

We ask that if you are showing symptoms, such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, or if you have been in close contact with someone confirmed positive or currently being evaluated for COVID-19, please do not attend your in-person appointment.

We understand and appreciate that this is a challenging time for everyone, and may be especially concerning for those struggling with mental illness, substance use issues, and crisis situations. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you are experiencing increased anxiety, depression, or other issues.

We encourage those in mental health crisis to use the following 24/7 emergency phone numbers below:

  • National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-8255
  • Foundation 2 Crisis Hotline: 1-800-332-4224
  • Crisis Chat Line: 1-855-325-4296

We will continue to provide updates regarding our services and shifts that we are making to policy and practice as we have them via our website and personal phone calls from support/administration staff.

Please do not hesitate to call (515) 327-7036 or email astodden@assessmentiowa.com if you have any questions or concerns.

We are here to help you through this unprecedented time and we thank you for adapting to these changes with us.
