Patrick Turpin

Patrick is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who brings humor and authenticity to his work with adolescents and adults. He has experience working with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, child and adolescent behavioral problems, problematic sexual behaviors and other life experiences. Patrick is also trained in EMDR therapy. He believes that each person has their own story that has shaped what they are currently experiencing. Through his work, he strives to foster a safe space where clients can tell their story, gain insight into how that story impacts functioning, and create a new reality that is more fulfilling.

Patrick received his master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Drake University. He has experience working in both residential and outpatient settings. Patrick utilizes various therapeutic techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, EMDR and solution focused approaches. He believes in providing a non-judgmental client centered practice to process life's experience and create the necessary space to create change.

When Patrick isn't working, he enjoys spending time with his family. He likes being outside hiking, camping or riding his bicycle on the trails. He also likes to relax by watching sports and hanging out with his dogs.
